Northfield Tree Ordinance First Reading
A new tree clearing Ordinance for Northfield sponsored by Coucilman and Planning Board liaison Jason O’Grady got is first reading at the 20 May 2008 meeting of Northfield’s City Council. The Ordinance is scheduled for a second reading and vote by Council on Tuesday 17 June 2008.
“This Ordinance will protect the beautiful trees of Northfield which give the city its character. It will protect our city from the buzz saws of unethical developers while retaining our resident’s ability to maintain their own properties. I want to thank Steve Vain, Matt Doran and all the members of Council that support this Ordinance.” – O’Grady.
A copy of the ordinance is on file with the municpal clerk in city hall and all are encouraged to read it and to attend the 17 June meeting to show their support.
