The Democratic Party of Northfield is pleased to announce that we’ll be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner at the American Legion Post 295 (232 E Mill Rd., Northfield) on Friday, September 26, 2008 to support our 2008 slate of Notaro, Dyrek and Zlotnick. The DPN will be returning to the gorgeous Atlantic City Country Club for a Campaign 2008 fund raiser on Friday, 27 June 2008. The event will run from 4 to 7 p.m. with a cash bar. Tickets are $20. Contact any DPN member or candidate for tickets.

Incumbent Councilman Dave Notaro will be seeking another term in the 1st Ward, Councilwoman-At-Large Julie Zlotnick is running At-Large and Linda Dyrek is running in the 2nd Ward. They look forward to meeting you and for your support during the campaign.

A new tree clearing Ordinance for Northfield sponsored by Coucilman and Planning Board liaison Jason O’Grady got is first reading at the 20 May 2008 meeting of Northfield’s City Council. The Ordinance is scheduled for a second reading and vote by Council on Tuesday 17 June 2008.

“This Ordinance will protect the beautiful trees of Northfield which give the city its character. It will protect our city from the buzz saws of unethical developers while retaining our resident’s ability to maintain their own properties. I want to thank Steve Vain, Matt Doran and all the members of Council that support this Ordinance.” – O’Grady.

A copy of the ordinance is on file with the municpal clerk in city hall and all are encouraged to read it and to attend the 17 June meeting to show their support.
